In the real world, a lot of people make model planes, tanks, helicopters and even helicopters that are actually controlled by drones or remote control drones. We need to learn to design them as well.

There are a lot different approaches in making vehicles and it depends on the role you plan to play in the war on terrorism. How do you plan to portray the war on terrorism on any single vehicle you draw? And at which time of year for each year? What kind of equipment will you be using?
We will need to make sure that we develop the skills to draw realistic imagery. For example, we will need to draw on multiple scales so what we can see from aircraft at different distances is not a problem. We will need to develop the skills in the use of camouflage, so that every part of a vehicle should appear as if you are shooting at it.
In case you want the enemy to think you are a coalition member you are going to need to come with enough special equipment such as helicopters (in case we need them) and anti-tank missiles (in case we need them).
What is your best advice for new and aspiring artists? What kinds of things do you want them to know before they start?
There are different ways of approaching creating models. It depends on your background. Sometimes it is more important to have professional skills to draw realistic images but sometimes you don’t want to learn about how to draw models and you want to learn from the best.
When I draw, it feels good and it gives me a lot of joy but when I am ready to apply to work in the industry I want to know how to draw for the next two years. I need to know what will make me a good artist and to be able to draw with a level of competence. Even though I don’t have any special training, I will want to have a good background before starting this process.
Our industry still needs to grow. I think the next generation of artists will be better prepared to work with more realistic images to represent real-life threats.
