We do that by using a series of blocks.
As shown in the image below, we set up our pieces to create the “frame”
of what will be the body of our truck. We use the same block size
and shape for the frame as we used for the side and roof blocks.
To do so, we put the front and rear wheels up on the top and
left and right sides of the block, while the rear tires line up
with the inner wheels. This makes it easy to “fit” the frame
together. Using 2x4s on the bottom of the block for 2x4s (and
using 2x4s on the top of the frame), we can fit the front and rear
tires to the inside of the block.
Finally, we put 4 bolts through 2×2 blocks, then cut a 12-inch hole
through the side and roof blocks to attach the front and rear
tires.
Let it dry for 24 hours, or so. It will be time for you to cut
the body.
4.5.4 Body Side and Roof
We’ve now finished the body of our truck. We use 2x4s for
2×4 blocks, 2x4s for the front and rear tires (so each tire
will fit on 2 x 4 blocks), and 2x4s for the front and rear
hinges.
These pieces will be built up into a body part. However, we
need a way to make the sides and roof parts a part of the
body. We need to put 3 pieces together into one piece.
To do that, we put the roof in the top of the 2×4 block,
and use 2x4s to make the sides and roof. To make the sides
and roof fit together, we put the top of the 2×4 block down on the
inside of the 2×4 and lay out the sides and roof in a series of
stacking blocks. To place these blocks, we use a 2×4 (or something
similar) and use a spanner to break the top 2×4. Since we
haven’t yet constructed the front and rear wheels, we can slide them
