On his next project, he says, he envisions using the method of drawing something in his lab to help create 3-D models of different objects (something he thinks might be used in gaming and animation). He adds that he also plans to use an app he’s been developing for Google Glass to do his designs from the comfort of his car. “I wanted to make something that had a bit more of an immersive look about it.”

The Supreme Court has given Texas the green light to put a gay marriage ban on the ballot, giving a victory to proponents who say it will help open a path to wider acceptance and full equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
The court gave final approval on Tuesday to an emergency appeal of a lower court ruling that ordered Texas to stop enforcing its ban, which was overturned this year in a federal judge’s ruling.
“It’s been a long, long slow path,” said Brian Brown, policy director for the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT advocacy organization.
“There are people behind each of these initiatives that are fighting for the same thing. We have got to keep pushing at the state level and push back at the federal level.”
Gay marriage is legal in 19 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. The U.S. Supreme Court has not definitively set a national standard.
Brown said the battle was long, but that states were finally getting the attention they deserved because of their successes and the legal challenges they faced when they adopted bans on gay rights and marriage.
“I think a lot of people are realizing the gravity of the issue that’s facing this country and are saying the right things,” he said.
