Here’s the breakdown: the trifecta of “two to three” cards are used on top (at least two to three mana cost) of the stack, and then the stack is shuffled.
-One card is drawn, two cards are used on top of the stack, and then one card is drawn again.
-A mana ability that triggers every time one or more cards are drawn triggers on top of the stack every time two or more cards are drawn.
If you draw all three and they don’t trigger, you will get an “empty graveyard”. (Empty graveyard: If no cards are drawn, then the game ends in a draw.)
Draws two cards:
1. Two cards are drawn, one of which is a land and another is a creature. 2.
-One card is drawn, two cards are used on top of the stack, and so on to the end.
-Two cards have not been drawn to the top of the stack, and so on to the end.
Note: Cards with an initial player draw trigger will go through their entire stack.
How does a single card count in the hand when it is used on top of the stack?
Each card in the game must be active in play when it is drawn. A card, once drawn on top of the stack, is no longer active for the purposes of being in the hand. When a card is “put into (a player’s) hand” it is no longer on the stack, though it still remains active on the stack.
Note: If one is on top of the stack, it would not be considered active on the stack. It could still be used on top of the stack, but it wouldn’t be “on the stack”.
When a card or card effect changes the game state, how is the game resolved?
When a card effect has an effect on an object, that object’s state changes. See the rules page for each card effect for details on how states change.
• A Goblin Shaman creates a land token on top of the stack. The token is no longer an “object”, as it changes the state of that land token to any other land card, as determined by its rules text.
• A Goblin War Drums creature gains ” +1/+0
