Tottenham fans were once again united on Sunday, cheering on the home side’s 4-2 victory over Arsenal in a European tie at White Hart Lane.
The majority of the home team’s supporters did not, however, turn their backs to their team as United were given a 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium.
The players’ reactions to the defeat were somewhat muted as they had no problems with the quality of football but they did turn their backs to their team after the second leg of the tie in a show of support for the other Premier League side, who have now exited the group stages of the tournament.
