Yes, it is, as long as it is supervised! If there is a way for a dog to see or hear the family dog, they can do this. It is your responsibility to make sure it is supervised (and it may be a good idea to have a small group of people look after the dog and watch it).

VANCOUVER — A medical marijuana company has been awarded the rights to grow, manufacture and sell medical marijuana — a key part of the country’s marijuana plan.
Canopy Growth said Monday it has been selected to provide the bulk of Canada’s recreational marijuana once it becomes legal in July 2018, or within six months once production is licensed and taxed.
Shares in the Vancouver-based company surged as much as 5.6 per cent following the announcement.
