We have just received word that the long-rumored Xbox One game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, may be on its way into retail and early access, and is set to be released in September of this year.
We now know the game will feature a new multiplayer mode called the “Multiplayer Beta” which will be available for users to download for free if they purchase the game’s Gold Edition. After the release of the Beta, any Xbox One Gold members who do not purchase the game by September 23 will be eligible for a free one-month pass to the beta during which the Xbox One version will be fully playable.
The Beta is set to take place on September 23 at 12AM PT or 8AM ET. This time does not count toward one month’s pass entitlement, which will be granted once the full release is available.
The Beta will be the last public alpha preview before the full release, and while the final version is not confirmed, we imagine the Beta will involve all the new bells and whistles seen in the final game including motion tracking, advanced shadows, and more.
The multiplayer beta is the first time this feature is actually being used, so we’re very excited for it.
